I joined SIG in April of 2020, after working for a private investment firm that specialized in self-storage acquisitions and development for 3 years. I knew I wanted to get into the brokerage space, but wasn’t sure which firm to sign with as there were somewhat limited options within the self-storage sector. In the end, SIG was the easy choice.
They offered a national platform across 6 offices, top of the line marketing, compliance and back office support, and offered to build a self-storage team around myself and my previous experience.
By sticking to my product type specialty within the self-storage sector, we have been able to list and sell several sell storage deals within the first year, recruit additional experienced brokers to join our growing self-storage team, and most importantly, become experts in the self-storage asset class, which has allowed us to better serve our clients.
